Every thing is awesome with the helmet, but the nvg shroud has to much space so the rhino mount wiggles a little.
So far I love the helmet. My unit goes to the field at the end of the month so that will be the true test. I am NOT a fan of the helmet cover though. I fought and struggled with the helmet cover and the top where opening for the base plate is does not fit flush with everything else. Maybe the I got was defective or they are just designed like that im not sure. I ended up going with a cheap cover off amazon that fit flush and perfect over the whole helmet.

Great buy, easy to switch out the chin strap and the side rails too. All you need is a multi-tool, no need to break out the tool set from the garage. It fits better than any helmet Ive been issued or owned. Do not try to go down a size. If you are hovering between a large grape and XL, go for the XL.

I’m happy I got one finally. I noticed the rails are not so great plastic. Already have some small minor damage with an M-Lok but that could also be my fault. I love the pads.

This is one awesome helmet I almost went with a couple different companies but hardhead veterans is the one to go ! I chose them because they do it for the people! The chinstrap magnet is amazing ! Snapback retention system Works so well ! They even give you thick and thin pair pads . HHV patch included. And then a couple days out of nowhere I get a letter from them with the protector patch and I had no idea I would receive that . I bought the low profile rails for ear Pro attachments . Everything came within a couple days of ordering. amazing service thank you hardhead veterans!!!
Generic, Chinese made helmet at a decent price point. I don't know why they went with an MLOL rail though instead of the industry standard ARC rails. You basically need an adapter to use any helmet attachments with this. I'm looking for an ARC rails that I can replace the MLOK one with.

Needed a more modern helmet for deployments and this far outshines the issued ones by a long shot. Half the weight and has more capabilities. Might buy the lightweight version after I have this one for a while.
Unlike the old foam pads, well, really not old because a lot of people still use them, the HHV regular pads are great! They are lower profile or thinner but definitely do the job. I have gone out on runs with my helmet on and the pads are comfortable on my head and dry up quickly. Highly recommend if you're looking to replace the big foam pads.
This is my second helmet I’ve purchased from HHV. Amazing quality and lives up to its standards. But something changed. The first helmet I bought I got it in a size large. It fit me perfect after I adjusted my straps. The second helmet. Bought the same one except in multicam pattern but still the same size. This time no matter how I adjust my straps it still fits more snug than usual. A bit weird. And no I didn’t gain weight.
I love this retention system it make the helmet fit snug I received my order within days after order it.
Haven't had a helmet pad be anymore comfortable. Hardly feels like you're wearing a helmet!

This helmet came in much sooner than i expected with it being on backorder and all. The helmet came in with no damage and felt pretty good to put on. Adjustments were pretty self explanatory. It fits snugly and isn't too heavy either. Great product.
EVERYTHING out of the box was flawless, not a scratch to be found. First of all, I was lucky enough to be able to attach my Sordin Supreme Pro X's with the Unity rail adapter kit, recommended by an HHV tutorial video from the Youtube channel (thanks for that BTW, I would've been STRUGGLING to figure out HOW to assemble that headset if not FOR the video!) haha
Everything fits like a GLOVE once you get the pads set up correctly and snug against your noggin'. I used the medium sized pads on the sides, along with the thicker ones as well on the top of my head for more comfort. I DO recommend TAPING the micro adjustment strap along the back of the head, in between and outside both of the metal pins retaining the strap, as they tend to come loose accidentally. THAT being the ONLY downside or "Con" to the entire setup experience, the ATE GEN2 is high speed, low drag. JUST like a Hard Head Veteran SHOULD be.
