The HHV ATE® GEN3 ballistic helmet is proudly made in Sweetwater, Texas with ballistic fibers from Dupont® (USA). Tested to NIJ Level IIIA, stopping a wide range of handgun threats, including 9mm, .357 SIG, and .44 Magnum rounds. Its aramid design reduces back face deformation and blunt impacts. It uses our Impact Padding System for a 100% customized fit along with our Fidlock Suspension System with tightening ratchet. The HHV ATE® GEN3 offers the perfect blend of lightweight design, superior protection, and exceptional comfort.

Watch Video: How to Measure Your Head

Start by wrapping a measuring tape around the circumference of your head, just above your ears and eyebrows. Where the tape overlaps is your measurement.
No measuring tape? No problem! Use a piece of string to mark the overlap, then measure the string.
Use the size chart to find where your optimal tactical helmet size should be.
Also, don't worry if you choose the wrong size. We offer an easy exchange policy!

I absolutely love my purchase. You can tell the quality of the helmet is absolutely amazing. They spared no expense to ensure that what you're getting is what you're expecting. I even had a sizing issue with a chin strap and they were very quick to accommodate my needs.

Mixed review

I bought this helmet roughly a month ago and i finally unboxed it and got it fitted this week. The helmet itself fit as it should and feels solid. Now for the problems, the paint came chipped along the entire front lip, and several places along the sides and back, for a total of 8 spots. Not a major issue as I plan to train with it and it'll get dinged up. Would of been nice to come in pristine condition, but like I said it'll get scratched anyway. The next issue that bothered me slightly more is the rail system came uneven, with the left being much lower and even protruding beneath the lip of the helmet itself. It also had several screws put in at a severe angle on that side of the helmet, where the mount was lower. I was able to adjust it back into the correct place, but I would hope quality control will catch that in the future. Several of the glued on camo patches for my gen 3 came bubbled, but otherwise seem stuck on there pretty good, again disheartening for the cost I paid for this helmet, but I can live with it. Overall it's a structurally sound helmet, but quality control needs some serious work. I rated it 3 stars after the issues because of the payment plan offered, it helped balance out the negatives although saving up might not of been a terrible idea...

Thank you for the review. We are looking into ways to get the paint to stick better on that rubber u-channel that protects the edge of the helmet shell. It's meant to flex, but of course paint doesn't like that. Noted on the rails and thank you.

Very grateful to the great team at hard head veterans! The new kevlar fits great and came with extra replacement pads which is very appreciated! Would definitely recommend them as a resource if you are in the market for helmets and other gear! Haven’t fully outfitted it yet but it seems pretty rugged!
