Start by wrapping a measuring tape around the circumference of your head, just above your ears and eyebrows. Where the tape overlaps is your measurement.
No measuring tape? No problem! Use a piece of string to mark the overlap, then measure the string.
Use the size chart to find where your optimal tactical helmet size should be.
Also, don't worry if you choose the wrong size. We offer an easy exchange policy!

Best quality for the money!

I bought the ATE Gen2 on the recommendation of my Marine son. The quality and fit are just as good as expected. I’m going to upgrade the pad set and get hearing protection mounts on when I get my muffs. Very satisfied.

I ordered another helmet from a different company for my Search and Rescue unit. Poor quality and not what they described.

I then found Hard Headed Veterans and found the helmet I needed. It was in my hands extremely fast and built very well! I’m very happy with it and will be buying more from them in the near future.

Compatibility Issues

Finding the right products that fit both the m lok and the NVG mount is a total pain in the ****. Wish I went with a different helmet from a different company

Hi JW, the NVG shrouds will work with the majority of mounts on the market including Wilcox and Norotos! Also, just about any accessory from comms mounts to pic rails will work with the M-LOK system. We will be reaching out via email to see if we can help you out a little more!

Terrible Customer Service

I received my helmet and the chin strap would not fit when the helmet fit perfectly. I figured maybe I would try a bigger helmet with thicker pads in it. Unable to contact HHV by phone, I emailed HHV by email requesting an exchange and 14 days later I’ve gotten no reply. Instead I’ve gotten several automated emails asking for a review. My review is that their customer service is nonexistent.
